Sorry, nothing in cart.
We have been in the industry since 2006, and bring with us a wealth of knowledge and experiences.
In our early days, we were mainly supplying coir-based goods by the container-load to our customers around the world. While we continue to do this even today, working within this industry, we encountered an urgent gap, where we felt customers were being over-charged for some of the products they buy in smaller quantities.
This is where we come in.
We are committed to bringing to you the best products at the most affordable prices.
We pride ourselves in becoming one of the first companies in the UK and Northern Ireland to offer such a wide and innovative range of coir-based products under one platform.
The coir-based products we supply are 100% biodegradable and natural, which means, these products have minimum harm on the environment.
We continue to update our products portfolio, making a variety of products easily available to anyone who needs them.
A service-oriented company
During our time in the industry, we learnt many valuable lessons, which continue to shape who we are as a company. We’ve seen how competitive this industry is. In business, we also know how easy it is to be driven by profit.
This is why, for us, what is important, is our customers.
What drives us is our passion for not just bringing the best products, but also giving you the best possible services we can. We are always at hand to answer your queries. This is what sets us apart from everyone else.
Over the years, one of the most important lessons we’ve learnt is the value of community. We are a small business with big ideas. We are committed to supporting our customers, sharing knowledge, and building new partnerships with those in the sector whether you are an individual grower or a company.
We ensure that ethical practices are followed throughout the process of production and sourcing of products. Providing fair wages and ensuring that fair work practices are followed are central to what we do and how we conduct our business.
From the start of the manufacturing process, we work towards empowering communities, including supporting the cottage industry and contributing towards rural economic development. Back at the factory, our corporate social responsibility programmes focus on helping local children.
Locally, we support charities such as the Chestnut Tree House, contributing a portion every month towards their causes.
We are conscious about the choices we make, especially in working towards adopting more sustainable practices. We strive to ensure there is minimum harm on the environment in the work we do, and review our work regularly to adopt practices that help us protect our environment.
We also believe in the wider benefits of gardening and growing for an individual’s wellbeing and mental health, and support efforts towards this end. We aim to share inspiring stories and facilitate discussion through our social media on this topic, because we understand how important it is to uplift one another.
We love working with other advocates who share our values.
What is coir
Coir is a natural fibre that is 100% biodegradable. It is extracted from the husk of the coconut, and is a fibrous material that is found between the hard-inner shell of the coconut and the outer coating of it. Coir is native to the Asia Pacific region, especially, India and Sri Lanka, where coconut is produced in large quantities and exported globally. In recent times, the global annual production of coir has been approximated at 650,000 tonnes.
India produces around 60% of the world’s supply of coir fibre, while Sri Lanka produces 36%. Recently, countries such as Mexico, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Caribbean Islands have also started producing coir to the global market on a large scale.
