We can’t believe it’s just a few more days until Christmas, and not long until we welcome a brand new year. In today’s blog post, we look back at the year that was at CoirProducts.co.uk, and invite you to think about the important lessons you learnt this year.
Forging new connections with nature
A New Year is always a cause for optimism. But 2022 was different in so many ways. Following the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, 2022 saw many of us slowly going back to those pre-pandemic activities.
Over lockdown, there was renewed interest in gardening and spending time in nature, as more and more people looked towards gardening and nature for solace, escape, and connection. At CoirProducts.co.uk, we continue to recognise and celebrate the importance of our natural environment, sharing inspiring stories of growers and gardeners as well as our own guides, tips, and suggestions on how to use our products for growing your own whatever space you’ve got.
Gardening for health and wellbeing
Similarly, since our inception, at CoirProducts.co.uk we have worked to emphasise and support the wider benefits of gardening for our overall health and wellbeing, from supporting local communities to mental health charities, and the wider gardening community.
We established CoirProducts.co.uk to make a huge range of eco-friendly horticultural products affordable and accessible to all growers and gardeners. We saw how customers were being over-charged for some of the products they buy, especially in smaller quantities. Our products are all economically-priced, and manufactured to meet the highest industry standards. In addition, with our decades-long industry experience and as direct manufactures, we also introduced a variety of never-before-seen coir products to the market.
Expanding our eco-friendly coir products range
This year, we continued to build on our existing eco-friendly range of coir products, introducing new product varieties, unique coir bundles, and our coir doormats range. We’ve got plenty in store for next year, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
All our products are produced with the utmost care and concern for the planet. We continued to highlight the wider benefits of using our products for the people, plants, and the planet. With their ability to retain water and moisture, their high air porosity, and excellent drainage, coir products are ideal for plants to grow strong and healthy root systems. In addition, coir also degrades into the soil over time, enriching the soil. As such, our coir pots are the perfect alternative to plastic-based containers, while our CoirCoins are unique in their market given they come with a fully biodegradable cover.
Some lessons from the industry…
We have been in the industry for decades, and have learnt many important lessons during our time. We know how easy it is to get caught up in glossy adverts, copycat marketing, and low quality products. As we have shared since our inception, as a purpose-driven company, we are not merely driven by profit, but our passion for the work we do, bringing high quality sustainable products for all and striving to create positive change any way we can.
