1. How do I rehydrate a coir potting mix block or brick?Place the block in a container largest enough to expand, and slowly add luke warm water. Let it absorb for 15–30 minutes. Fluff with your hands or a tool. If using your hands, it’s advised to wear a pair of gloves.
2. How much water do I need to rehydrate a coir block?A 650g brick will require around 5 – 6 L of water and more if needed.
A 5kg block typically needs 18–25 litres of water to fully expand. More if required can be added.

3. Do I need to add nutrients to coir potting mix?
Yes. Coir is inert and contains no nutrients. It works best when combined with fertilisers or nutrient rich compost. Since coir is an organic product, we always recommend to use an organic fertiliser.
