Late summer gardening

Do you plan ahead when it comes to gardening or growing? August is a great time for thinking about preparing your garden for the season ahead. Keep feeding and watering your plants

Continue to feed and water your plants adequately, so that they will flourish well into autumn. 

Remove dead heads

Remember to prune those trees and shrubs, and remove dead heads and branches. This will help your flowers, shrubs, and small trees continue growing well into late autumn. Also, tidy up perennials, this will help prevent self-seeding, while also making the space look tidier. 

Adding autumn flowers

Think about what autumn flowers you want to introduce to your garden. Autumn flowering bulbs can be planted in late summer, to enjoy the best display of colours in the season ahead.
