How to use

Open the bag and gently loosen the coir by hand or with a small trowel. If it feels dry, moisten it gradually before planting.

Fill a clean pot or planter with suitable drainage holes. Position your plant and settle the mix gently around the roots without compacting it firmly.

Water according to the plant’s needs, allowing excess water to drain. Check moisture below the surface rather than watering by routine alone.

Provide suitable fertiliser for the plant and growth stage. Do not assume plain coir supplies all the nutrients required for long-term growing.

How much will I need?

The bag contains a nominal 50 litres of loose growing medium. As a simple guide, a 10 L container uses approximately 10 L of mix before allowing for the plant’s root ball and any drainage components; five empty 10 L containers would therefore require roughly one bag. Actual use varies with pot shape, planting depth and how the material settles.
