Our Story

Our Mission

At CoirProducts.co.uk, our goal is to help you make sustainable choices when it comes to growing, gardening, and protecting the soil from erosion.

We do this by bringing you an innovative range of high-quality products made out of natural coir. Together, we can make your garden an eco-friendly paradise.

Innovators in the industry

The coconut industry is nothing new for the people behind our company, whose families have owned coconut , whose families have owned coconut plantations for many generations.

In our early days in the coir industry, we were primarily supplying coir-based goods by the container-load to customers around the world, and we’ve continued to do this to this day.

But we also discovered a widespread issue within the industry, where we saw customers were being over-charged for buying products in smaller quantities. Additionally, we saw an alarming lack of opportunity for small scale and individual growers to access the wide array of coir products available, despite its incredible benefits and its use in horticulture for many decades.

This is why we lanuched our retail site, coirProducts.co.uk, introducing never before seen coir product varieties to the UK market and allowing individual groers to access the benefits of coir without spending a fortune.

A traditional industry

Coir products have been used in horticulture for many, many years. Mentions of ‘ coco peat’can be traced back to the late 1940s, when a soil scientist named. E.P.Hume wrote about a type of coir dust that results from extracting fibres from the coconut husk.

Our coir is sourced from Sri Lanka, a country with a rich history of cocunt farming, where coconut makes up to 12% of all agricultural production.

The Largest Portfolio

Since our inception, we have grown the largest portfolio of coir products in the UK.

Our innovative range of eco-friendly products includes specially curated bundles and starter sets for all kinds of growing needs, as well as kits for getting your kids involved in gardening.

Eco-Friendly Products

Coir is asudtainable byproduct of the coconut industry that would otherwise go to waste. Made with material extracted from the husk of the coconut, coir is a completely natural, biodegradable, and organic resource. It is also free of the more environmentally harmful peat-moss.

The coir-based products we bring you are vegan-certified, and the production process is completely crbon neutral, making coir the ideal choice for the eco-conscious grower.
