The coconut industry is nothing new to the people behind our company; their families have owned coconut plantations for many generations.
In our early days within the coir industry, we primarily supplied coir-based products by the container-load to customers around the world — and we continue to do so to this day.
However, we also identified a widespread issue within the industry. Customers purchasing in smaller quantities were often being overcharged, while small-scale and individual growers faced limited access to the broad range of coir products available, despite coir’s well-established benefits and its use in horticulture for many decades.
This led to the launch of our retail platform, CoirProducts, through which we introduced previously unavailable coir product varieties to the UK market, enabling individual growers to access the benefits of coir without unnecessary cost.
